An Architect's Mixed-Use Apartment For His Family of Four

Designing and building your own home comes with a lot of challenges but for Melbourne architect, Chris Megowan of Megowan Architectural, he was faced with a few extra challenges. For one, it was no ordinary home, it was a mixed-used building with retail space, an office for his architecture practice and four apartments, with one of them being his family's, Then, of course, having twins born the week you start construction, plus having to take over the builder, it was a challenging process.
